This extension had to be built on a reinforced concrete raft over the main sewers, access was poor as you can see and concrete had to be pumped over the main dwelling roof, the extension consisted of  a large bedroom with ceiling hoists and tracks through to a bathroom fitted with a rise and fall bath, an external lift was also installed to the front of the driveway to access the pavement.
